UPDATE: April 30, 2024 – The 3-year-old boy has died from his injuries, according to the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office.
April 29, 2024 – An investigation is underway in Cheatham County after a 3-year-old was shot on Monday afternoon, WSMV reports.
According to Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was shot in the head at a home on Hazel Drive in the Henrietta community. Deputies say the mother of the boy was at the home when the shooting took place.
The toddler is currently in critical condition after being airlifted to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville.
No charges have been filed at this time.
