CMA Awards To Bring Major Downtown Closures Wednesday

Nashville is gearing up for one of its biggest nights of the year as the 2025 CMA Awards take over Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 19. With crews preparing for red carpet arrivals, live performances, and heavy foot traffic, several downtown streets and sidewalks will be closed for event operations.

Road closures include:
• 6th Avenue from Demonbreun to Broadway – sidewalk (arena side only)
• Rep. John Lewis Way from Demonbreun to Broadway – street and sidewalk
• Demonbreun from Rep. John Lewis Way to 6th Avenue – westbound lane, sidewalk, and bike lane
• 6th Avenue from Demonbreun to Broadway – street and sidewalk
• 8th Avenue from Demonbreun to Korean Veterans Boulevard – east sidewalk only
• 6th Avenue South from Korean Veterans Boulevard to Demonbreun – street, MCC parking entrance and exit allowed
• Rep. John Lewis Way from Korean Veterans Boulevard to Demonbreun – street
• Demonbreun from 4th Avenue to 8th Avenue – street, sidewalk, and bike lane
• 7th Avenue from Demonbreun to Broadway – street and sidewalk
• McGavock from 8th Avenue to 6th Avenue – street and sidewalk

Closures will continue through Thursday, November 20, and drivers should expect delays and detours throughout the area.

Lainey Wilson will host the 2025 CMA Awards at Bridgestone Arena. The show airs Wednesday, November 19, at 8/7c on ABC and streams the following day on Hulu.
