Judge Bill Stinnett swore in newly-elected Mayor Gerald Greer and Council members Michael Smith, Nicole Binkley and Chris Kerrigan at Tuesday’s Ashland City Council meeting.
All four won their seats in the August election and their terms begin in September.
Councilman Kerrigan was also nominated and elected by the City Council to serve as vice mayor.
Additionally, Mayor Greer read a letter at the beginning of the meeting, thanking the community for its support during the election. He also said he looks forward to working with the City Council to move the city forward and thanked all city employees for their hard work and dedication as they work together for the citizens.
