August 8, 2024 – Three alleged gang members were arrested Wednesday in Kingston Springs following a crime spree.

On Wedneday afternoon, police say a homeowner who lives near E. Kingston Springs Rd and Luyben Hills Rd called 911 to report that someone had just tried to rob her. In addition, the caller said she fired a shot at the fleeing suspect vehicle. A second 911 caller heard a gunshot in the same area and observed a white sedan speeding away from the area. The caller was able to provide detailed information about the vehicle.

A KSPD Officer quickly located the vehicle parked in the 100 block of Hillcrest Road. As the Officer approached the vehicle, three males exited and fled in different directions.

Officers from KSPD, Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, TN Highway Patrol, and TN State Parks promptly established a perimeter to contain the suspects. With support from helicopters provided by both Metro Nashville PD and TN Highway Patrol, ground units effectively coordinated a search that resulted in the apprehension of all three individuals.

All three have been identified as gang members from Houston, TX, and appear to have been on a criminal spree along I-40, police say. Shortly before this incident, they are believed to have committed an armed robbery against an ATM employee at a bank in Nashville, TN.

The investigation and suspects have now been handed over to the FBI.
