Danny Edward Cotton, age 76, of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Daymond Cotton and Mildred (Payton) Cotton Proctor.
He was a member of Cheap Hill Church of Christ. Danny was a proud United States Army Sergeant.
He is preceded in death by his father, Daymond Cotton; mother, Mildred Proctor; step-father, Joe Proctor; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Annie Lois (Sue) Baker; and brothers, Steve Cotton, Bobby Cotton, and Mike Proctor.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Carla (Baker) Cotton; sons, Sean Thomas Cotton, Daniel Cotton (Melissa), and Michael Cotton; daughter, Angela Marie Knight (Christopher); sisters, Linda Proctor, and Diane Bohannon; sister-in-law, Lori Cotton; grandchildren, Molly Lacey (Shawn), Dakota “Cody” Cotton, Brooklyn Cotton, Avery Cotton, Easton Cotton, Kennedy Cotton, and Caleb Cotton; great-grandchildren, Everly Lacey, Tripp Lacey, and Giuliana Lacy; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 20, at 1 pm at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee. Burial will immediately follow at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
