Her earthly journey came to a peaceful close on January 17, 2025 at a graceful 93 years young. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, her adoptive parents, Rev. John A Davis and Velma Louise Davis along with her 13 brothers and sisters.

Elaine owned several businesses over the years before firmly planting roots fifty years ago in her beloved restaurant, “Elaine’s Cafe “. The café stood across from Fort Campbell between Gates 2 and 3 and for 30 years Nanny Elaine created a haven for service members, their families, and the surrounding communities by providing her customers with bottomless cups of coffee, good home-cooked food, and a place to stop, rest and visit with friends.
Elaine had an endless supply of love and unwavering devotion to the men and women of our armed forces. She welcomed everyone with open arms, a heartfelt smile, a warm cup of coffee or a big glass of iced tea.
Nanny Elaine will be missed by all. Elaine’s care has been entrusted to Phillips-Robinson funeral home and per her request no public services will be held.
