G. W. Sanders, age 77, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at his home.
He was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on November 4, 1946, to the late Charlie Morgan Sanders and Rosa (McCarroll) Sanders.
He served in the United States Army. G. W. worked as a machinist and pipefitter on barges.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Rosa Sanders; beloved wife, Frances Geneva Sanders; brothers, Charles Sanders and Jack Sanders; and sisters, Virginia Martin and Elizabeth Price.
He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Sanders; sister-in-law, Dollie Belew; nieces, Patricia Sanders, Pam (David) Jones, Jewell Pyburn, Helen Jones; nephews, Bill Sanders, Jack Sanders, Jr., Bradley Belew, and Buddy Belew; and a special thanks to Heather Young of Accent Care Hospice.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2 pm in the chapel with David Jones officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, July 13, 2024; from 12 noon until the service hour of 2 pm. Serving as active pallbearers will be Bradley Belew, Jack Sanders, Jr., Buddy Belew, David Jones, Walton Jones, and Jerry Pyburn.
