Mary Keeler, of Ashland City, departed this life early Friday morning, May 9, 2025, in St. Thomas MidTown in Nashville, Tennessee. Mary was born on May 4, 1936, in Vanleer, Tennessee to the late William Jessie Rye and Florence (Dilley) Rye.
She is reunited with her parents; husband, George Keeler; son, Charlie Taylor; brother, Don Rye; sisters, Alice Work and Rachel Ripley; and grandchild, Jody Taylor. She worked as a caregiver and homemaker to her husband and family. She was a long-time active member of First Baptist Church of Ashland City where she was also a long-time Sunday School Teacher.
Mary very much enjoyed and was an active member of Thrive 55+ (Senior Center) in Ashland City, Tennessee. Mary will be remembered for her large personality, fiery spirit and her being a fashionista. Mary’s family will remember her “and all that” following every sentence.
She leaves behind her son, Chip Keeler (Angela); daughter, Debbie Weatherly; grandchildren, Wesley Moneymaker (Crystal), Ame`e Mathis (Adam), Christopher Keeler (Carrissa), Megan Glennie (Caleb) and Devan Johns (Kristina); and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 12, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Leon Edwards officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm and Monday, May 12, 2025, from 11am to 1pm service hour. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will follow the service in Stewart Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.
