Phyllis Mae Wycoff, age 81, of Pegram, TN passed away on September 15, 2024, as we held her hands and spoke words of love.

Phyllis was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 31, 1943.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jim Wycoff, her precious son Ron, and her parents, Alice Rowland and Stanley Smith Sr, and her brother, Roger Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Patti (David) Leftwich, daughter-in-love, Maureen Wycoff, grandchildren Amanda (Dale) McCoy, Kristin Leftwich (Mark Tracy), Alex Wycoff, and Jenna (Josh) Swaggerty. as well as great-granddaughters Kaylee and Audrey McCoy and Ava Swaggerty. She is also survived by brothers Stanley Smith and Paul Smith, as well as many nieces and nephews who considered her a second mom.

Phyllis married Jim when she was only 16 years old. They were married for nearly 40 years until his passing. They shared a love for their Lord and family. Their ministry was in assisting pastors of their church, as well as serving others. They served for many years as youth pastors, Sunday school teachers, and bus ministry workers. She was always the more outgoing of the two, and was forever laughing and encouraging others. She had a heart for the world, and was a true advocate for peace. Her love of laughter and silliness was a bright light to the world. She will be missed by so many.

Public visitation will be on Thursday, September 19th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 10:00 a.m. A short graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at Harpeth Hills, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN 37211 with Pastor Lori Ferguson residing. https://www.harpethhills.com
