The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will conduct ramp closures on Briley Parkway (State Route 155) for concrete repairs near Centennial Boulevard (Exit 26) in Davidson County for a second consecutive weekend.
Beginning Thursday, July 17, at 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. Friday, July 18, then continuously beginning Friday, July 18 at 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. on Monday, July 21, crews with Capital City Construction Services, LLC, will close the following ramps:
- Exit 26B from Briley Parkway (SR 155) to Centennial Boulevard West
- On-ramp from Centennial Boulevard West to Briley Parkway (SR 155) North
Message boards alerting motorists to detours will be in place. These closures are necessary for crews to repair concrete on the ramps.
All work is weather-dependent. As always, drivers are reminded to allow additional time, slow down, and move over when traveling through a work zone. The Move Over Law was passed in 2006. The penalty for violating the law in Tennessee carries the possibility of up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of up to $500.
