Cheatham County Schools is excited to announce that art has returned to local elementary schools this year.
The district has hired three part-time art instructors, who will work a few days each week in our six elementary schools. There will be one art instructor in each cluster.
Elizabeth Wooten will be at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy and West Cheatham Elementary School in the central cluster; Sara Taylor will be at East Cheatham Elementary School and Pleasant View Elementary School in the northern cluster; and Elizabeth Collins will be at Kingston Springs Elementary School and Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School in the southern cluster.
The art instruction began Sept. 7. Offering art in our elementary schools is part of the district’s five-year plan.
