The Town of Ashland City has completed the replacement of the sewer lift station serving the Food Lion area, improving wastewater service for residents and businesses along the corridor.
Town leaders say the lift station had reached the end of its service life and was experiencing declining performance. The station plays an important role in transporting wastewater from the Food Lion area to Ashland City’s downtown gravity sewer system.
The project was completed through the Town’s Community Development Block Grant program, which provided approximately $377,700 for the replacement.
Ashland City currently owns and operates six sewer lift stations throughout the city and is continuing to evaluate and replace aging infrastructure as part of its ongoing sewer rehabilitation program.
The town says the upgrades are designed to improve reliability, reduce maintenance costs, enhance system performance and support future growth.
Town leaders say the lift station replacement is part of a larger effort to modernize all six sewer lift stations across the city and provide dependable wastewater service for years to come.
