Small City Pizza & Subs in Ashland City plans to close its restaurant within the next five to six weeks, but the business intends to continue serving customers through a new food truck.
The restaurant announced the decision in a Facebook post, citing several months of slow business and rising costs that have made it difficult to keep the restaurant operating.
Owners said they do not yet have an exact closing date but plan to share updates as the final weeks approach.
Despite the restaurant closure, Small City Pizza plans to launch a food truck that will visit the Ashland City area a couple of times each month, offering customers some of the restaurant’s familiar menu favorites. The owners encouraged customers to follow the business on Facebook for updates about the food truck’s locations and schedule.
In their announcement, the owners also thanked employees for their hard work and dedication, as well as customers who have supported the restaurant throughout its time in the community.
