The Ashland City Police Department has installed a new radar speed sign as part of ongoing efforts to reduce speeding and improve roadway safety in the community.
According to the Ashland City Police Department, the sign displays drivers’ speeds in real time to encourage motorists to slow down and remain aware while traveling through residential and high-traffic areas.
Police said the goal of the traffic-calming measure is to improve safety for drivers, pedestrians, and families in the area.
Department officials emphasized the device is not intended to inconvenience motorists but instead promote safer driving habits and address speeding concerns raised by residents.
The department thanked the community for its support as officers continue efforts to improve road safety.
