Enjoy a sunrise guided 5.4-mile kayaking journey along the beautiful Harpeth River on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at 6 am at Harpeth River State Park (1254 Narrows of the Harpeth Rd, Kingston Springs, TN 37082).
As you paddle through serene waters surrounded by limestone bluffs and lush landscapes, you’ll learn about the rich history of the park and the diverse wildlife that calls this area home.
This experience is perfect for nature enthusiasts and history buffs alike, offering a unique way to explore the river’s beauty while engaging with its stories. All necessary equipment, including a kayak, paddle, and life jacket, will be provided.
Important Details:
What to Bring: Please wear appropriate shoes, water, and a dry bag with a clip (if needed). Wear layers! It will be cold and possibly windy.
Skill Requirement: Participants must be able to swim and be physically capable of assisting others with loading/unloading the kayaks.
Duration: The trip covers 5.4 miles, and it will take anywhere between 3-5 hours. (This will depend on the water levels.)
After the paddle: You will enjoy a 1/4 mile hike back to the Narrows parking lot, where your vehicles will be waiting.
