The Cheatham County School District is closed on Friday, January 12, due to the potential for severe weather.
Reports from local and state agencies suggest weather conditions could pose a serious concern for student transportation services on Friday.
With wind gusts predicted to exceed 50-plus mph on Friday and out of an abundance of caution for student safety, the district made the decision to close.
Extended daycares will be open on their normal schedule, and daycare students will need to bring a lunch.

As a reminder, schools will be closed on Monday, January 15 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
