Do you have a little one who will start kindergarten next year? The Cheatham County School District is offering two kindergarten readiness classes in which parents will learn ways to prepare children for kindergarten.

The class times and locations are:

January 29, noon, at Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy
February 5, noon, at Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School Library

In these classes, parents will learn how to help their children learn names and sounds of upper/lower case letters, identify sight words, count in order from 1 to 20, identify shapes, identify colors, focus on simple tasks and develop routines.

Participants will also be provided with puzzles, books, wooden magnetic letters, dry erase marker boards, word cards, counters and many other manipulative items to make learning at home fun and interactive.

There is no cost to attend this workshop but you must RSVP.
