The Cheatham County School District is pleased to be the recipient of $12,722.81 in education grants, which were provided through a cooperative effort between A. O. Smith and the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce.
The district was awarded 9 grants through the Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation with funding provided by A.O. Smith.
Through a competitive application process, teachers across the district submitted grant proposals in the fall to fund projects not already funded through the regular school budget.
The following educators received grants for the 2023-2024 school year:

• Cheatham County Central High School: Julie Halkiades
• Pegram Elementary School Fine Arts Magnet School: Sue Mullican
• Pleasant View Elementary School: Lydia Postlewait
• Sycamore High School: Fisher Bailey
• Sycamore Middle School: Heather Baker
• Ashland City Elementary STEM Academy: Amy Carlson and Riann Offutt-Price
• West Cheatham Elementary School: Jennifer Winters
