Based on the book and narrated live by Nashville poet Caroline Randall Williams, the contemporary ballet explores themes of love, otherness, equality, and beauty on an imaginative journey brimming with wit and relevancy. Hailed “an amalgamation of Shakespearean-era Renaissance..banjos, blues, and work songs,” Lucy Negro Redux features an original score by GRAMMY Award-winning artist and MacArthur “Genius” Grant recipient Rhiannon Giddens.
