TODAY, a high of 91 and a heat index that continues to make it feel nearly 100 outdoors. Expect a nice cool down to happen later into the week! A slight chance for thunderstorms today late this morning and early this afternoon.

We are currently watching Hurricane Ida as it is expected to strengthen to a major hurricane shortly. This hurricane is expected to make landfall on Sunday and move very quickly up to the Middle Tennessee region to bring lots of heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms. We will keep you up to date on the latest information from the National Hurricane Center.
