Join Ranger Sydni Dollar for an early morning hike into Mound Bottom on March 9th from 6am – 8am. This is a 1.5-mile hike. You will see the sunrise from the top of the primary flat-topped mound that dominates the site.
At the hike, you will also learn about the animals that call this place home and learn about the defining cultural characteristics of the prehistoric Mississippian Culture.
Please bring a blanket, chair or camp stool to sit on, and a light source such as a flashlight or headlamp.
If you attend, meet at Hwy 70 Canoe Access, located at 1007 Cedar Hill Rod in Kingston Springs.
