Nashville-area company ICEE is celebrating its hometown with a free frozen treat giveaway ahead of the first-ever National ICEE Day.
The company will hand out free ICEEs today, Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bridgestone Arena Plaza, located across from Fifth + Broadway. The giveaway will continue while supplies last.
Guests may also make an optional donation to the Greatest Needs Fund at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The fund supports pediatric research, innovative treatments and family-centered care.
National ICEE Day will officially debut August 18 as an annual celebration of the iconic frozen beverage and the generations of fans who have enjoyed it during movie nights, road trips, amusement park visits and summer outings.
More than 1,800 participating Walmart Fuel, Krystal, Urban Air Adventure Park, AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas locations nationwide will offer a free small ICEE on Aug. 18 while supplies last. The celebration is expected to return each August.
