Chace Taylor has been named the new boys basketball coach at Harpeth High School.
Taylor, a 2019 HHS graduate, played for the Indians for three years under two coaches, Jeff Schertz and Robert Kreps. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2023.
Since graduating from UTC, Taylor has served as an assistant coach at HHS under departing coach Daniel Moman and alongside coach Trey Johnston for three years.
“I am extremely excited for the opportunity to become the head coach at my alma mater. There is no place I’d rather be,” he said.
Taylor added: “I would like to thank my wonderful wife, Rhian, for helping me pursue my passion for coaching basketball. I would also like to thank Harpeth’s administration for this dream opportunity. I can’t wait to hit the ground running and look forward to sustaining a program that this community can be proud of while helping our athletes grow as students, players, and admirable young men.”
