The event begins at 6 p.m. at Saint Elle and is part of a 20-city national series celebrating chefs, restaurants, and local food communities. The Nashville stop will feature more than 10 food and beverage stations with signature dishes, drinks, and special activations.
Hosting the event will be chef Mathew Meeker of Fancypants, who was selected for the James Beard Foundation’s 2026-2027 TasteTwenty class. The annual list recognizes 20 chefs considered emerging leaders in American dining.
Other participating chefs announced so far include Josh Cook and Ana Aguilar of Tantísimo, Nick Guidry of Deacon’s New South, Hal Holden-Bache of Lockeland Table, Kamal Kalokoh of Riddim N’ Spice, Bill Laviolette of Shotgun Willie’s BBQ and Vivek Surti of Tailor. Additional participants are expected to be announced.
“We’re thrilled to bring this celebration to Nashville, where guests will sample exceptional bites from some of the city’s most dynamic talent, connect with their local food community, and raise a glass to the chefs leading our industry forward,” said Clare Reichenbach, CEO of the James Beard Foundation in a release.
Meeker said being selected to represent Nashville in the TasteTwenty class is an honor, and he looks forward to celebrating the city’s culinary scene alongside other local chefs.
Now in its 14th year, Taste America gives guests the opportunity to sample food from notable chefs while supporting the James Beard Foundation’s work with independent restaurants and the broader food industry.
