Two Cheatham County Schools – Kingston Springs Elementary School and Harpeth High School – were named 2021-2022 Reward Schools by the Tennessee Department of Education.

Reward School status is the top distinction a school can earn in Tennessee.

Reward Schools are those that have scored in the top tier of the state’s accountability matrix, which factors in TCAP achievement scores, growth scores, chronic absence, English Learner proficiency, graduation rates, and Ready Graduate metrics, depending on the grade tier of the school.

This is the sixth time that KSES has been named a Reward School. The school also received the honor in 2012, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021.

Our district was designated as an “Advancing” district by the TDOE based on the 2021-2022 TCAP results.

This is the second highest rating a district can achieve on the state’s accountability model.
