School officials say a precautionary lockout at two schools in Cheatham County has been lifted following safety checks.
According to the Cheatham County School District, Cheatham County Central High School and Cheatham Middle School were placed on lockout while authorities conducted random K9 searches.
During the lockout, students remained inside the buildings and continued attending classes while the searches were carried out.
Officials later announced the lockout had been lifted. No additional details about the searches were immediately released.
