Kayem Foods Inc. is recalling approximately 1.58 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products after some items were stored in a warehouse cooler that experienced temperature fluctuations, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The recall was announced Oct. 17 and affects products made between March 31 and Oct. 7, 2026, at the company’s Chelsea, Massachusetts, facility.

The issue was discovered after a retail customer reported receiving products that were warm on Oct. 1. An investigation found that various ready-to-eat meat and poultry products had been stored in a cooler that experienced temperature deviations.

The recalled products were shipped to retail stores and foodservice locations across the United States and to Hong Kong. They can be identified by establishment numbers “EST. M/P 7839,” “EST. P 20935A” or “EST. M 9520” inside the USDA inspection mark.

Consumers can view the affected products and their UPC codes in the official recall product list.

No confirmed illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled products.

Consumers who purchased affected items should not eat them. The products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
