The annual Music City Turkey Trot 5K and 1-Mile Waddle will return to Nissan Stadium on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, inviting runners, walkers, families and their four-legged friends to start the holiday with a little exercise. More Hometown Holidays

Hosted by Run Nash, the event features a 5K race beginning at 8 a.m., followed by the 1-Mile Waddle at 8:10 a.m. Both races will start and finish at Nissan Stadium.

“The Music City Turkey Trot is one of our favorite Nashville traditions because it brings families, friends and neighbors together to kick off Thanksgiving in a fun and healthy way,” said Malain McCormick, race director for Run Nash. “Whether you’re running the 5K, walking the 1-Mile Waddle or showing up in your best turkey costume, it’s all about making memories and celebrating the holiday together.”

Participants are encouraged to dress in Thanksgiving-themed costumes, with prizes awarded to the top three costumes. The event also includes a Doggie Dash option, allowing registered dogs to participate and receive their own race bib, finisher medal, and bandana.

All registered participants in the 5K and 1-Mile Waddle will receive an official race T-shirt and finisher medal. They will also present awards to top male and female finishers and winners in various age divisions.

Registration is $60 for the 5K and $40 for the 1-Mile Waddle. A special $25 registration rate is available for 5K participants younger than 18.

Race-day packet pickup will take place from 7 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. at Nissan Stadium.

The event will also spotlight STARS Nashville, a nonprofit that has provided mental health services, counseling and prevention programs to young people and families across Middle Tennessee for more than 40 years. Participants can learn more about the organization and make a donation.
