Nashville Ballet’s popular holiday tradition, Nutcracker Tea, will return Sunday, November 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts.More Hometown Holidays
The annual event gives families a chance to experience the world of Nashville’s Nutcracker through an interactive performance, holiday activities and opportunities to meet characters from the production.
Guests will enjoy an abbreviated version of the ballet featuring familiar characters, including Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Mouse King and the Nutcracker Prince. The afternoon will also include holiday crafts, festive treats, character meet-and-greets and professional holiday-themed photography.
Adults can enjoy drinks and small bites while children participate in activities inspired by the holiday classic.
“Nutcracker Tea has become one of our most treasured holiday traditions because it brings families together to experience the joy, imagination and wonder of ballet in a truly personal way,” said Nick Mullikin, artistic director and CEO of Nashville Ballet.
The event also serves as the official kickoff to Paul Vasterling’s Emmy Award-winning Nashville’s Nutcracker, which returns to Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Jackson Hall from November 27 through December 27.
Proceeds from Nutcracker Tea benefit the School of Nashville Ballet Scholarship Fund, which provides more than $250,000 annually in merit- and need-based scholarships for dance students.
Tickets are $150 for adults and $75 for children. Patron packages are also available, offering perks such as early access, priority parking and gift bags. Select packages include a custom monogrammed fabric crown for young guests through a partnership with Tilly Goose.
Tickets are available at NashvilleBallet.com/nutcracker-tea.
Tickets for Nashville’s Nutcracker are also on sale, along with a Fairytale Package that includes the holiday production and Cinderella, scheduled for February 26–28.
