Looking for a new show to settle into this weekend? Nashville pitmaster Pat Martin’s barbecue series, now streaming on Netflix under the title “Barbecue: Life of Fire,” is worth adding to the queue. More Entertainment News
The series follows Martin as he travels the country exploring regional barbecue traditions and live-fire cooking techniques, with episodes covering West Tennessee whole-hog barbecue, Alabama-style smoked chicken and Santa Maria-style barbecue in California, among other stops throughout the South and beyond.
Martin, founder of Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint, originally launched Life of Fire on Outdoor Channel in 2024. The series was inspired by his cookbook of the same name, and selected episodes are now available to stream for a wider audience on Netflix.
Fans of the show have more to look forward to as well — Martin is currently filming a third season, expected to debut in 2027.
Martin is a Nashville-based pitmaster known for preserving the tradition of West Tennessee whole-hog barbecue. Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint has locations in Downtown Nashville, Belmont, Midtown, Nolensville, Mt. Juliet and Spring Hill, along with restaurants in Louisville, Birmingham and Charleston.
