Alford “Big Al” “Danny” Harrison, age 80, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on April 6, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 5, 1945, to late Allen Harrison and Viola (Sullivan) Harrison. He worked in construction as a drywall finisher.
Danny was a rascal and had many hobbies; he loved to fish, golf, and enjoyed sports. He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Viola Harrison; and daughter, Chrissy Harrison. Danny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ann Harrison; daughters, Tammy Lewis-Burgan (Jeff), Danielle Connor (Trey), Brittney Smartt (Dustin), and Margie Harrison (fiancé Cedeno “Diego” Dansby); sisters, Carolyn Sullivan and Janet Wooley (Joe); grandchildren, Nathan Lewis (Sandy), Brandon Lewis, Kayla Connor, Jordan Harris, Andy Connor, Emma Smartt, Ella Smartt, McKenzie Jones, Jaeden Dansby, and Rylee Dansby; three great grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 12noon, in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother Phillip McGahey officiating. Burial will follow at Lampley Cemetery in Fairview, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 2pm to 7pm and Friday, April 11, 2025, from 10am until the hour of service at 12noon. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cheatham County Funeral Home.
