Amy S. Teeter, age 58 of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away in Ashland City, Tennessee, on Friday, January 27, 2023.

She was born in Sunbury, Ohio, on December 20, 1964, to Jim Westerman and Bess (Riley) Westerman.

In life, she was a devoted daughter, wife, and mother. Following her passion of helping and nurturing children and families she worked as a special needs teacher’s aide in Florida and teacher’s aide in the Metro Nashville school system.

Amy was known for her compassionate and charitable presence—never wanting those around her to go hungry, often feeding the homeless community and contributing to those in need.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bess Westerman.

Amy is survived by her father, James Westerman, her husband, John Teeter; daughters, Jennifer Austin (Chris) and Megan Teeter; brother, Joe Westerman (Mardee); sister, Jodi Bruegger (Bill); nephews, Jacob and Garrett Westerman; niece, Sarah Bruegger; in-laws, Harry and Pat Teeter; sister-in-law, Allison Teeter (Dana); and step-grandchildren, Nick, Scarlett and Spencer Austin.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 3, 2023, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2023, from 2 pm to 7 pm and Friday, February 3, 2023, from 11 am until the hour of service at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
