Belton "Jimmy" Deville Obit

Belton “Jimmy” M. Deville, age 94, of Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was born on July 21, 1930, in Deville, Louisiana, to the late James Deville and Henrietta (Holland) Deville.

He served as a First Sergeant in the United States Army for almost 30 years. During his military career, he served in Korea, Vietnam, Germany, and Japan.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James and Henrietta Deville; wife, Louise (Choate) Deville; several brothers and sisters; brother-in-law, Sammy Smith; granddaughter, Barbara Louise Deville; and great grandson, Alan Robert Rose.

He is survived by his sons, Jack Deville (Holly) and Billy Don Morris (Myrna); sisters, Lena Smith and Corrine Burnaman; grandchildren, Jack Deville, Jr., Kathy Rose (Bryan), Robyn Medley (Neil), and Michelle Denney (Darrin); and great grandchildren, Tristen Denney, Sydney Denney, Sophia Medley, and Georgia Medley.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Allison Gilliam and Darrin Denney officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee.

Visitation will be Monday, April 14, 2025, from 4pm to 6:30pm with Masonic Service at 6:30pm and Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 11am until the service hour of 1pm.
