Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Mills officiating. Place of rest will be in the Adcock Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, November 16th from 11 AM to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 12 PM until time of service.
Mr. Billy Eugene Estes, age 83 of Kingston Springs, TN passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.
Born in Davidson County he was the son of the late Hubert and Goldie Hooper Estes and was preceded in death by daughters, Cornelia Estes and Cheryl Dunn; his son, Billy Eugene Estes, Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Hubert Estes, Jr., Harold Dean Estes, Paul Edward Estes, Dorothy Cobb, Virginia Jones, Lucille Chaistain and Katheryn Mercer.
Billy worked as a Ceramic Tile Setter for 40 years before retiring. Billy was not one to sit still and was always finding something to keep him busy and was working in his yard the day he passed away. He was an avid reader even after losing his eye to Glaucoma. Billy was a very generous person always thinking of others before himself. He was a man of his word and spoke the truth. He was a member of the Craggie Hope United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, June Rebecca Cathey Estes of Kingston Springs, TN; daughter, Teresa Estes Fratangelo of Burns, TN; daughter-in-law, Tamara Baker Estes; son-in-law, William Dunn; 7 grandchildren, Amanda Dunn, William “Buddy” Dunn, Jr., Ashley Luenberger (Stephen), Clint Estes, Andrea Fratangelo, Andrew Fratangelo, Marcia Corbitt (Justin); 7 great-grandchildren; his four-legged companions, Jake and Brownie; several nieces and nephews.
