Darold Teague, age 81, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center.
Mr. Teague was born on August 23, 1941 in Earlington, Kentucky, to the late Rufus & Lillie Pendley Teague.
He was a United States Army veteran and a retired truck driver who loved fishing and boating. He had a big heart for helping others and never met a stranger. Mr. Teague was a member of Joelton Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stillborn son, Sean Teague; and 6 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Josephine Teague; daughters, Holly (Steve) Wright, Hope (James) Pirtle, and Heather (Michael) Gibbs; brother, Charlie Teague; sisters, Helen Shampagne and Peggy Williams; grandchildren, Tiffany, Alex (Kristen), Zach, Erin (Maddie), Faith Danielle (Matsen), Austin, Peyton, Hunter, Harliann, and Hoss; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Leona; and all his church family at Joelton Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 12th, from 2:00 PM until the hour of service at 6:00 PM.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 12th, with Bro. Joe Jones officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13th, in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville with his grandsons serving as pallbearers.
