David Marcus Wilkerson, age 63, of Berea, Kentucky formerly of Springfield, passed away Sunday morning, September 13, 2026 at Baptist Health Richmond.
He was born on August 6, 1963 in Lebanon, KY to the late Owen, Jr. and Edith Pearl Carney Wilkerson.
He was a member of the Durbin Memorial Baptist Church, a 1981 graduate of Washington County High School, a graduate of the University of Kentucky and received his MBA from Vanderbilt University.
David recently retired as a CPA for Berea College and was an avid UK football fan and loved attending the games with Deborah and Daniel. He enjoyed fishing, reading and playing with his dog, Birdie. His favorite activities included hitting baseballs with Daniel, studying with Deborah and chasing his grandchildren around the house. He was deeply in love with his soulmate of 36 years, Donna.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Adams Wilkerson; a son, Daniel Wilkerson of Richmond; a daughter, Deborah (Logan) Blevins of Richmond; two grandchildren, Canaan and Merritt Blevins and three brothers, Gary (Liz) Wilkerson of Signal Mountain, TN, Roger (Angie) Wilkerson of Springfield and Troy (Susie) Wilkerson of Lewisport.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Pearce officiating.
Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Springfield.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Thursday morning at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
