We grieve with sadness and also hope to announce the passing of David Boyd, 77, of Ashland City, TN. He passed peacefully at his home on March 13, 2025, surrounded by his four children.
Born August 29th, 1947 in Nashville, TN. David served in Vietnam with the United States Army and later became a skilled cabinet maker, owning and running his own business until retiring to care for his late wife, Kathy.
He was a husband, father and most cherished title of Papaw. He was known for his stories, jokes, faithfulness, generosity and speaking his mind. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy Boyd, parents Charles O. and Menevelyn Boyd, brothers Wayne, Errol, and Milton Boyd.
He is survived by his children Crystal (Ronnie) Holcomb, Charlotte Thomas, Amanda (Blane) Christenson, Dean (Meghan) Boyd.
Grandchildren; Roy (Brooke) White, Austin Adams, Jon Thomas, Zoe Thomas, Lexi Garrett, Maci Garrett, Rylie Christenson, Korie Christenson, Aoife Boyd, and Callum Boyd.
Great Grandchildren; Alexia Grant, Noah and Elizabeth White. Also surviving is his brother Rohney Boyd and his children.
Visitation will be held at Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City on Sunday, March 16th at 2p-6p, and Monday, March 17th from 11am-1pm with service at 1pm. Followed by Military Honors graveside at 2pm at Ever Rest of Cheatham.
