Mr. Delma Woodrow Binkley passed away at Skyline Medical Center on Friday, April 22, 2022, he was 92 years old.
Delma was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on February 3, 1930, to the late Ruse Woodrow Binkley and Zeda Dee (Simmons) Binkley.
Delma was a member of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ where he was a former elder, served his country in the United States Navy, and was a retired union iron worker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruse and Zeda Dee Binkley; wife of 67 years, Isabelle Jane Binkley; siblings: infant brother and sisters, Virginia Rose and Eloise Denton.
He is survived by three sons: Darrell (Becky) Binkley, John (Pam) Binkley, and Wendell (Kim) Binkley; sister, Gertrude Moore; 7 grandchildren: Jenifer (Patrick) Westfall, Erin (Jimmy) Bowles, Ethan (Cori) Binkley, Ben (Amanda) Binkley, Lori (J.T.) Boyd, Matthew (Kelsey) Binkley and Marcus Binkley; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 26th, at 1 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Donnie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, April 25th, from 4 pm to 8 pm and on Tuesday, April 26th, from 10 am until service hour of 1 pm. Serving as active pallbearers will be Matthew Binkley, Marcus Binkley, Ben Binkley, Ethan Binkley, Tristan Binkley, and Ezra Binkley. Honorary pallbearers are the Elders of Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Delma’s memory may be made to Sycamore Chapel Church of Christ.
