Don Price Dickson Obit

Don Price Dickson, 91, of Ashland City, passed away June 19, 2025, in Nashville. He was born on May 30, 1934, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Don was a member of the Scottsboro Church of Christ, along with his wife, Mary. They attended the church for over 60 years and were baptized there together in 1965.

Don worked for NES for 38 years as a Journeyman Lineman and retired as a supervisor. He served his country in the U.S. Navy on the USS Valley Forge and held rank of Gunner Mate 3. He took pride and honor in receiving the Quilt of Valor.

He was also a man with many hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking, jewelry making, macrame, and cooking 4th of July ribs.

He leaves his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Alice (Sally) Demonbreun Dickson; son, Jason Dickson (Sherry); daughters, Debi Waller (Ronnie) and Donna Moore; grandchildren, Jeni Bumpus (Josh), Brandi Jones, Anna Waller, Josh Moore (Lauren), Ashley Jackson (Scott), Jessie Bennett (Michael), Korin Harrod (Landon), Karmen Pack (Josh), and Austin Dickson; great grandchildren, Sarah, Suzie, John, Catie, Reggie, Rolan, Rayne, Garrett, Rose, Mason, Aiden, Evelyn, Tristen, Addie, Brayden, Bryer, Brynlee, Atreus, Emma, Walker; brother, Charles Dickson (Ann); sisters-in-law, Helen Brown and Mary Jane Ragsdale; brother-in-law, Bill Demonbreun; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his fathers, John Dulan Ragsdale and Ernest French Dickson; mother, Jewell (Price) Dickson; son, Johnathan Dickson; brother, John Ragsdale; grandson, Don Waller; son-in-law, Billy Moore; and in-laws, Oran and Eva Demonbreun.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 11am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Brother John Temple officiating. Burial will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 2pm-7pm and Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 9am till service hour of 11am.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Bumpus, Josh Moore, Scott Jackson, Michael Bennett, Landon Harrod, Josh Pack, Austin Dickson, and Jason Dickson.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Scottsboro Church of Christ.
