Don R. Jenkins, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Don was born in Cheatham County, Tennessee, on October 21, 1940, to the late Ernest Eugene Jenkins and Nina Louise (Wilson) Jenkins. He was a member of Bethlehem FWB Church and a retired truck driver from Anderson Piping. Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved to fish, work on cars and watch his westerns. He will be greatly missed.
Don is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Florrie Dice, Estle Jenkins; and grandchild, Sarah Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bradley) Jenkins; children, Jeffrey (Terri) Jenkins, Donna (Jack) Yeager, Barry (Crissy) Jenkins, Daniel (Leslie) Jenkins; grandchildren, Brittney (Chad) Pennington, Barbara Jane Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, Kyle (Sarah) Yeager, Cara (Juan David) Barajas, and Luke Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Cash Pennington, Fulton Barajas, Levi Pennington, and Jack Wesley Yeager; siblings, Raymond (Lorine) Jenkins and Edna Cross; and extended family grandchildren, Emily Pennington and Nick Bryant.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 11 am in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home, LLC, with Brother Shiloh Hackett officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 26th, from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Wednesday before the service from 10 am until service hour of 11 am. Serving as pallbearers are Chris Jenkins, Luke Jenkins, Anthony Jenkins, Juan David Barajas, Kyle Yeager, and Chad Pennington.
