Dorothy Dean “Micki” Tansil. Age 88 of Ashland City, TN, passed away June 10th, 2025 at the TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born April 19, 1937 to parents Bailey and Rena Belle (Plemons) Ford in Nashville, TN.
Micki was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Allen “Mack” Tansil, son’s; Randell Tansil (Beverly), and Rocky Lane Tansil, niece; April Tansil, three brothers; Paul, Claude, and Bill Ford, six sisters; Rena Florence, Martha Jane, Christine, Virginia, Alberta, and Alma, and her great grandson; Parker Campbell.
She is survived by sons; Allen “Bo”, and Tiger Tansil, daughter; Sabrina Hawk. Survivors also include her grandchildren; Joshua, Dakota, Makayla, Tristan, Kara, Taylor, Alyse, and Chassie, great-grandchildren; Alexis, James Randell, Airreannah, Reigns, Lane, Luke, Remi, Elena, Kayden, Kaleb, and Colton, and great-great granddaughter Charleigh.
Micki, as everyone called her, loved the family gatherings. She worked “at home” raising 5 children, and, later worked at Tennessee Wholesale Drug Company. She will be greatly missed, but we can all keep the many memories she gave us.
Visitation with the family will be held at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, TN 37015, on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM, to be followed by a short Graveside Service at 1:00 PM, at the EverRest of Cheatham Memorial Gardens, 545 East Hwy 49, Pleasant View, TN 37146.
Active Pallbearers will be The Tansil Boys; Bo, Tiger, Dakota, Tristan, Lane, and Alan Figueroa.
