Dorothy Frances Denny, age 96 of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Denny was born on January 22, 1927 in Ashland City, Tennessee to the late Andrew and Dora Perry Mayo.
She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She loved her flowers and was a long-time member of the Bearwallow Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Denny; and sisters, Margaret Morris and Betty Chambliss.
Survivors include her sons, Steve (Judy) Denny and Terry (Susan) Denny; daughter, Judy (Jorge) Moran; brother, Jack (Shirley) Mayo; grandchildren, Kim (Eddie) Gray, Kevin Denny, Amy (Frank) Stafford, Stephanie (James) Anderson, Russ Denny, Julie (Michael) Webb, and Denny Moran; 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 19th, with Bro. Joe Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Bearwallow Community Cemetery with Russ Denny, Denny Moran, Austin Denny, Scotty Chambliss, Mark Chambliss, and Eddie Ray Gray serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dorothy Ann Perry, Jessica Mayo, Helen Murphey, and Gail Perry for the loving care they showed over the past year.
