Eunice B. Read passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 25, 2022, she was 79 years old.
Eunice was born in Joelton, Tennessee, on March 10, 1943, to the late Richard Knipfer and Martha (Moss) Knipfer.
She was a graduate and high school basketball star of Joelton High School. Eunice was a secretary for over 25 years for Farm Bureau in Ashland City, Tennessee.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Rex Read; son, Richie Read; brothers, Donald, Junior, Earl and Ralph Knipfer and Roy Howell; and sister, Rubye Barnhart.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Alley; stepson, Chris Read (Samantha); sister, Margaret Smith; grandchildren, Justin Alley and Daniel Alley; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Jones; and granddog, Gabby.
Funeral service will be Thursday, October 27th at 2 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home LLC with Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in EverRest of Cheatham, LLC in Pleasant View. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26th, from 2 pm to 7 pm and on Thursday, October 27th, from 10 am until service hour of 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eunice’s memory may be made to the Dickson County Humane Society, 311 Tennsco Rd, Dickson, TN 37055.
