James Allen Wells, Jr. age 69, of Kingston Springs, TN, known by family and friends as Jimmy passed away on January 16, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Jimmy was born in Nashville, TN on December 5, 1955, and is the son of Billie Jane Wells and the late James Allen Wells, Sr.
He was a longtime heavy equipment operator who loved to work and was the hardest worker.
Jimmy was an avid University of Tennessee Vols fan. He loved working with his hands doing woodwork. As a kid he spent endless hours hunting and spending time on the Harpeth River. In his younger days he loved the thrill of cars and motorcycles. Jimmy loved to spend time at the beach, which always gave him so much peace and time to relax.
Out of everything in life Jimmy was blessed with he loved being a dad the most. He was totally devoted to his family, a good husband, son and a great dad to his children and loved every minute of it.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Cindy Wells of Kingston Springs, TN, his mother Billie Jane Patterson Wells of Kingston Springs, TN, his three children, Zack Wells (Cristianne Johnson) of Hermitage, TN, Kelsey Wells of St. Petersburg, FL, and Brady Wells (Abby Sanders) of Goodlettsville, TN, his sister, Melissa Cole (Marshall) of Greenville, S.C., his brothers, Carlos Wells (Jamie) of Kingston Springs, TN and Kelly Wells (Crystal) of Bellevue, TN. His three extended furry family members, Gunnar, Hazel and Jasper. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning, January 23, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Family and Friends giving personal remembrances. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, January 22nd from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
