James Edward Pannell passed away on August 22, 2026. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
James was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Sue Pannell, and his father, Albert Lee Pannell Sr.
James leaves behind his beloved children, James, Gage, Cayden, and Brailynn, who will forever carry their father’s memory in their hearts.
He also leaves behind his beloved siblings: Lynn Cheeves (Billy), Tina Condra (Punkin), Albert Pannell Jr., Robert Pannell (Jody), Mary Pannell (C.J. Alamares), Stella Peek (Shane), and Ashlee McKay (Micah), as well as his best friend of 40 years, Terry Nesmith. Their lifelong friendship was filled with cherished memories, laughter, and countless moments that will never be forgotten.
James will be remembered for the love, memories, and moments he shared with his children, family, and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will continue to live on through everyone who loved him.
Visitation with the family will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 11 AM till 2 PM, with Funeral Service beginning at 2 PM, officiated by Pastor Shaun Sutton, at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St., Ashland City, TN 37015.
May James rest peacefully, reunited with his beloved parents. He will never be forgotten and will forever remain in the hearts of his children, siblings, best friend, family, and friends.
Rest in peace, James. Until we meet again.
