James “Jerry” Neal Edgin, age 65, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

He was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on August 7, 1958, to the late William David Edgin and Roberta (Hunter) Edgin.

Jerry was a truck driver and loved what he did. He liked to tinker around in his shop and build things that people said could not be built. He was the definition of redneck ingenuity. He loved Nascar and drag racing.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, William and Roberta Edgin; beloved wife, Pam (Brown) Edgin; and brother, David Edgin.

He is survived by his son, James “Bubba” W. Edgin; daughter, Kathryn McAllister; grandchildren, James Lucas Edgin, Cortney Edgin, and Paige Renae McAllister; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Kaye Dusek and Presley Tenise Westmoreland; and many extended family members.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024, from 3 pm to 8 pm and Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 10 am until the service hour of 2 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronn McAllister, James “Cowboy” Scruggs, Roger Eyler, Billy Edgin, Steve Tucker, and Terry Simpkins. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Krantz, James David Edgin, James Lucas Edgin, and Randy Edgin.
