James L. Milom Obit

James “Jim” L. Milom, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Ashland City, surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born on September 2, 1939, in Ashland City, Tennessee, to the late John Thomas Milom and Ozena Louise (Batts) Milom. He was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating from North High School. Jim was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, a member of the Donelson Lions Club and Treasurer of North High Association. He was retired co-owner and printer of Ideal Printing Incorporated in Ashland City, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Ozena Louise Milom; wife, Patsy Milom; and brothers, Billy and Jerry Milom.

He is survived by his daughters, Leigh Ann Ward (Andrew), Lynn Jensen (Scott Marler), and Kim Milom; sister, Evelyn Gupton; grandchildren, Nikki Ward (Chad Burgess), Becky Schoenbachler (Josh), Abby Ward (Hunter Waldrep), Elizabeth Ludlow (Nathan), Braden Jensen, and Rylee Milom; and great-grandchildren, Kairi Ludlow and Henry Schoenbachler.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel of Bethel FWB Church in Ashland City, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Ashland City, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2025, from 3pm to 7pm at Cheatham County Funeral Home in Ashland City, Tennessee and resumes Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the church from 11am till service hour at 1pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Waldrep, Chad Burgess, Josh Schoenbachler, Braden Jensen, Jeremy Smith, and Chris Milom. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Phillips, Tim Kennedy, and the members of the Donelson Lions Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Promise Foundation or Donelson Lion’s Club.
