Mr. James Louis “Jim” DeMarse, age 80, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026 at his home in Ashland City, Tennessee surrounded by his family. Jim was a native of East St. Louis, Illinois. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in Vietnam.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Anna (Baker) and Arnold DeMarse of Belleville, Illinois.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Linda (Boldt) DeMarse, daughter, Dannette (Jerry) Woodard and son, Jonathan (Sophia) DeMarse all of Ashland City. Other survivors include two granddaughters, Courtney Woodard of Brentwood, Jet DeMarse of Ashland City as well as a brother, Donald (Dorothy Irene) DeMarse of Iowa.
The family will receive friends at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth Street in Ashland City on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be conducted Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 3331 Bell Street in Ashland City. Burial will follow in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
