John Charles Wilson, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
John was born in Gray Ridge, Missouri, on August 24, 1934, to the late Wilber Silas Wilson and Janece Davis Wilson. He was a farmer, dump truck owner, worked and retired from Utility Service and Maintenance, was a retired factory owner alongside his wife, owning Frontline Manufacturing, but most recently worked for Cheatham County Sanitation at the landfill.
His family and friends will remember him as John, J.C., or maybe Poppy, but his family will remember him as a husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Joyce Wilson; daughters, Melody Beagles and Angie (Donnie) Suiter; sister, Ann Jeanette (Dale) Bolden; grandchildren, Jason (Samona) Howell, John Hanford Wilson, Sy Lucas Wilson, John “Trey” Charles (Amber) Wilson, III, Melody Ann (John) Hunter, Richard Gene Wilson, Faith Kathlyne (Matthew) Crowe, and Jasmine (Zac) Weatherford; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 2 pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 1 pm to 5 pm and on Sunday before the service from 12noon until service hour of 2 pm.
