Johnny O’Dell Crook, age 66, of Pleasant View, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 14, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Nell Crook; his brother, Charles Ray Crook; and two grandsons, Cameron Bryce Williams and Jade Mitchell Dillard Williams.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of more than 35 years, Florence Crook; three daughters, Ashley (Kevin) Johnson, Candice (Michael) Scalf, and Brandi Dillard; and his grandson, Christopher Dillard, whom he lovingly raised as his own son. He also leaves behind many other cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by five brothers: Ronald (Theresa) Crook, Donald (Tonya) Crook, James (Linda) Crook, R.T. (Faye) Crook, and Bobby (Brenda) Crook; and three sisters: Charlene Feczko, Kathleen (Doyle) Taylor, and Jo Ann Gilliland. While distance kept him from seeing his siblings often, he still cared deeply for them.
Johnny was a devoted family man and a very hard worker. He spent over 30 years with American Construction, where he served as an assistant superintendent and was respected for his dedication and skill. He loved and cherished his two dogs, Hercules and Tinker Bell, who were like children to him.
Above all, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren with all his heart, and his presence will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
